Shatta Wale goes on his knees to apologise for his absence at Hogbetsotso festival

Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale has taken a visit to the management of Ebony Condoms to apologise for his absence at the Hogbetsotso festival. According to reports, Shatta who was billed as the headliner of the event had made it to the town for the festival, however, due to a scuffle between him and one of the event organiser about an appearance for an interview, Shatta left. The “On God” hitmaker had been billed to perform at the Hogbetsotso Beach Rave festival in Tegbi in the Volta Region, an event sponsored by Ebony Condoms.
Shatta’s no-show at the event grounds caused a bit of tension between event goers and the event organisers. After he was accused of breaching his contract by not showing for the performance, Shatta wale took to social media to explain his side of the situation. Few weeks later, he through the advice of Media Personality, Bola Ray, has taken a tour to Ebony Condoms offices to render an official apology. Their visit has been captured in videos and photos by blogger, Ronnie. In one of the videos, Bola is heard saying; “That’s why we are here. It’s unfortunate what happened…” After his speech, Bola Ray handed over to Shatta Wale who immediately went down on his knees to sincerely apologise for his behaviour. But before he managed to bring both knees to the ground, Joseph Addo-Yobo, the executive director of Total Family Health Organisation and brand owner of Ebony Condoms, held the musician and ushered him to his seat after he (Shatta Wale) shared a hug with him and the lady among them who stated that it was unnecessary wasn’t the reason for their gathering. The officials gathered expressed shock at his (Shatta Wale) action.

VAR: Ghanaian Law Professor tells FIFA that unregulated discretion kills competition

Black Sherif crowned Artiste of the Year at the 2023 VGMA

The 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year is rap sensation Black Sherif. He beat stiff competition from seven others namely Piesie Esther, Sarkodie, Joe Mettle, Stonebwoy, Camidoh, KiDi and King Promise to win the award. This is the ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ hitmaker’s first VGMA Artiste of the Year win. An excited Black Sherif, following his win, walked to the stage singing Sad Boys Don’t Fold – the song he opened his performance with.
